• This is weird. I’ve used WordPress for a long time and I’ve never run into this issue.

My Plugins directory is in the right place and its permissions are set properly. However, the contents seem to have no bearing on the list which shows up on the Plugins page in my WP Admin! Uploaded plugins don’t show up and, when I remove plugins from the directory, they persist on the list.

Get this: I just renamed my Plugins directory (to “lugins”) and the Plugins page still seems to operate normally!

    Anyone have any ideas?

  • I have tons of ideas. The site is hosted with GoDaddy, being the first; some changes on GoDaddy dont take effect immediately.

Youve not provided a url to your blog, so other than that..Im not going to share any others.

Sorry… I didn’t think a link to the site was necessary; I was hoping that someone would simply know of a solution.

    The site is here.

welp, this is why sometimes having the blog url helps

There is your plugin directory, alive, well, and not renamed.

My second guess is that youre meddling with folders inside WWW.

thats not where you want to be.

I was using the wrong user in Transmit. When I recreated the FTP connection with the proper user, everything worked fine.

I wonder where the files I was mucking with are?

    Thanks!
