• An email post I sent(via Outlook) was never posted yet from time to time, when I view other posts, an error appears at the bottom of the page referencing the phantom email post. I want to get rid of the problematic post since I’m not having problems posting via my usual webmail application. But I can’t find the post! It’s not saved with other posts, it’s not saved as a draft, it’s not awaiting moderation. How do I find and delete the phantom email post?

    This is the error:

  • If you have phpMyadmin you can try to go into the database and find it there – and delete.

Didn’t see it in the database. But at least I know where all the post are now. Anybody have additional advice?

EUREKA! It wasn’t in the database because the email post was still in the inbox! Apparently, I was getting the error whenever the cron job tried to post the message again. I still don’t know the cause of the error but I really don’t care. I’ve deleted the message from the inbox, which should totally solve my problem. Perhaps I’d have figured this out sooner if I’d been paying attention to those annoying wp-mail notifications.
