Hi. I have donated to you and your plugin and i want to have some impact on changes.

I’m using classic share buttons on my page. I’ve configurated them very long time ago and effect is good.

You can check my site url and see if you remember me.

As you can see i have many icons on top of the page and facebook like box inserted by your plugin in share buttons configuarion.

I don’t think if new version of your plugin can replicate all of this and make it look so good as this version.

    Hi @matrixpoland,

Classic sharebar is a powerful feature and you can customize to the fullest. But it is being deprecated for below reasons.

    1) New users find it difficult to onbaord with the extensive options provided. It takes time even to set it up and many time users do not use the feature to the fullest capacity.

    2) Native social buttons like like buttons, tweet buttons are not very popular and things are moving towards social icons.

The new social icons feature aims to solve the above problems.
It is easy and quick to setup with all the features of the classic share bar except that the “native buttons” which I mentioned above cannot be added.

In your case, you have social icons and below that you have facebook widget.

With the new social icons feature, you can add social icons just like how you have currently. Please do explore it once.
But the facebook widget below cannot be added. For this may be I can provide certain settings in the next version to add custom HTML before/after the social icons.

So please to stick to classic buttons for now and move to the new social icons once the above option is added in next version.

To conclude, social icons are the way going forward and they have the same features as existing “social icons” button but very intuitive and easy. Any recommendation over that can be implemented.

Thanks for using WP Socializer !

If we can set them like in actual version (these are big icons which is good) + custom icons (not only sharing but URL Link like on minds.com) + facebook like box then ok. I’m only worried about appeareance and functionality.

    @matrixpoland,

With WP Socializer version 5.1, I’ve added options which can help get similar results for social icons like in classic sharebuttons feature.

#1 – You can paste the “facebook page widget” in the social icons settings, scroll down –> “custom HTML above and below”.

#2 – For the custom social icons, you can use the “custom HTML” button and add your image tag.

Any queries in migrating. Let me know.
In the month of may, old features will be removed for cleanup.

    Thanks,

On my site i have shortcodes too from plugin shortcodes ultimage. Can you add that option to either be below or above icons?

Second question is to make custom html codes for icons easier.

    We would
    – upload own icon by function
    – set url by function
    – set cloud box /descirption by function

I know many people know html and can code that but maybe can you make it to set automaticcly

    Hi @matrixpoland,

You can already do the changes in “social icons” feature.
Can you please play with it ?

#1 – It already has options to add shortcodes above and below.

#2 – To add custom HTML to the social icons list
Add custom HTML button – https://i.snipboard.io/jmDizN.jpg
