Person's Name as Page URL is not showing

  • OK, here’s a weird one…

    I have a list of pages, each one is for a particular person taking part in an event. For every one of them (except one), their page shows up just fine. For this one person, the only way I can not have it redirect to the home page is to add a suffix, in this case -1. When I do, it works just fine. Change it back to just the name and it won’t work.

    This self-same individual was also at last year’s version of the same event and I recollect the exact same issue then, with an earlier version of WP.

    The name is not strange, short, very long, made up of unusual characters or has anything out of the ordinary about it. But WP will simply not show the page until I change it and add a prefix.

    Does anyone have a clue as to why this might be happening?
