During set-up of complianz plugin we are told that the e-mail will not show-up in clear. Once published the mail appears to all and it is not possible to remove it.

Could you please provide advice to remove the mail.
My website has a contact page and it should be enough for users to contact us through the contact page if needed.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @gml56,

Complianz converts/scrambles characters from the plain-text email address you have entered in the Wizard, with a varying degree of randomization. The true plain-text value (the unscrambled version) is not made available on your website. Complianz knows it internally but does not expose the ‘unscrambled’ version to prevent your actual email address from getting harvested by “spidering”.

However, you can always remove the phone number from your documents. Navigate to Complianz > Wizard > General > Website information > “What is the telephone number your visitors can use to contact you about privacy issues?”, remove the phone number and click “Save”.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hi @gml56,

I just noticed that I accidentally referred to “phone number” in the second part of my message, instead of the email address.

I would like to clarify that listing an email address that visitors can contact is required by both the CCPA and GDPR, so in the case that you target visitors from the EU, UK and/or California, only placing a contact form here would be insufficient.

    Hope this clarifies.
    Jarno
