Personally, best results out of the box with no caching plugin!

I wasn’t expecting the extraordinary results I got from Autoptimize initially. But I got more and here’s why…

While just testing things out on a dev site I had 43 stylesheets and 30+ javascript files on any given page. That is something I would condense down without a plugins help anyway. But, just browsing and trying out Autoptimize it consolidated all of those files into 3 files. It sooo easily took a page speed grade of C to an A at a page speed of 94. My highest results yet, with no Caching!

Another great thing is this plugin is playing nice with my inline css using Visual Composer. I’ve tried so many speed related plugins, find that the NEW Quick Cache plugin (or Zen Cache as it may become) worked the best and was easiest to manage. But, Quick Cache with Visual Composer’s inline css didn’t play too well when wanting to optimize and compress all the code. The inline css would be missing from the page.

Autoptimize gets rid of this issue for me by allowing it to compress and optimize all the code and let Quick Cache just Cache. This got me to a 95 in page speed.

I also feel good knowing that if I ever wanted or needed to move from Quick Cache I could still keep Autoptimize and the page speed 94 that came with it over to another plugin like W3 Total Cache!

Autoptimize without a doubt is and will be a default install.
