• Hi

My customer sells different sizes and colors of cot blankets, and the buyer specifies the child’s name to be stitched into the blanket.

So it’s already a variable product, but I can’t see anyway of allowing the buyer to put in a unique field (ie the child’s name).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Malcolm

  • It is not a built-in function for Woccommerce to collect data from the buyers as you explained in your case.

It needs to have some plugins that adds the “user input” functionality to the system.

You can search the extensions in the Woo site.
As far as I know, the simplest way of doing that is: Product Add-Ons (https://www.woothemes.com/products/product-add-ons/)

As you can see in the given example, there is a new input area under Custom Engraving name where the user can add the desired message to be engraved on the product.
