Personal Media site

  • Hello,

    I want to make a website for my media collections using wordpress as non blog website.

    Show case of my home media collections which mean most of the work will be done by me manually

    NOT SURE:
    1- what template to use
    2- What plugin to use

    The domain i will buy and i will host it with hostagtor

    what i have in mind is
    https://www.themoviedb.org/

    A sarch are and two main manue item Movies and TV show

    NON Blog post or anything

    Please advise

  • You need to select a theme (templates are the individual “pages” in a theme) — see this page for MANY options. Any theme has the option to be static pages only — non-blog — it’s just a setting once you get the theme installed and start working on creating the site.

    Plug-ins add special functionality — so which plug-in (if any) depends on what you want on the site and whether the theme can already do that.

    Search and Menus are standard on pretty much all themes.

    Getting started with WP has lots of excellent basic information.
