• We manage a website that used to have WP Super Cache installed. For business reasons we uninstalled it and are using another Caching program. The computer for the owner of the website is unable to see new posts on her website. She only sees her site from the day that WP Super Cache was uninstalled. We have cleared her browser cache and tried different browsers, but the issue persists. After spending several house on the phone with an Apple Tech, he reported that this was caused by WP Super Cache (without even knowing that it used to be installed on her site).

In response, I reinstalled WP Super Cache on the site. I then went through the recommended uninstall procedure before deactivating and deleting the plugin. Her problem persists.

Any ideas? This is the strangest thing I’ve seen in a while….

  • Did you remove any .htaccess rules related to caching?

Did you remove any caching code in wp-config.php?

Did you remove the caching program files from the wp-content directory?

Thank you Galbaras. We did check the .htaccess and the wp-content directory, but failed to check the wp-config.php file. I just checked and found a rogue reference there. This has been deleted. Fingers cross that this does the trick. Thank you for the suggestion!
