Permissions Problem on IIS Server

    Hello, We are serving WordPress sites on Windows Server 2019. We ran into a problem with replacing files. We received this error:

    String(240) “The uploaded file could not be moved to C:/Shares/websites/[site name]/wp-content/uploads/C:/Shares/websites/[site name]/wp-content/uploads/DSP_OrgChart_DSPOnly.pdf. This is most likely an issue with permissions, or upload failed.”

    Upload worked, and usually one replacement of the file worked, but the next try would result in the above error.

    I also was receiving notices of a file-type change when the uploaded and replacement files were both PDFs.

    Finally ‘Delete Permanently’ was removing the file from the Media Listing, but left the file in the Upload directory.

    I reverted the plugin to version 3.6.3 and all these problems went away and it works great like it always has. Hope you can sort out this issue. Let me know if you need more information.

    Pedro,

    That looks like it solved the issues. I ran several consecutive replacements of a PNG on our testserver, got no error messages, and content updated each time. Tried it with a PDF and it worked fine as well. Deleted items are removed correctly from the uploads folder. Looks fixed.

    I will try it on our live site later today.
