• Hi,

I’m the administrator of a web server, and a client of mine is having some problems with his WordPress. We recently switched the server to suPHP (from mod_php), and since then whenever he uploads a picture he cannot see it on the browser, because it gives him a 403 error. Looking into it I discovered it was because the files he uploaded were created with 600 permissions, and since the owner of those files is my client’s user (because of suphp), Apache cannot read it. The solution is to change the permissions to 644.

Is there any way that he can set up his WordPress to create the uploads with 644 permissions, so that he doesn’t have to change them manually?

    Thanks!
