Permissions Issue – Can’t get non-Admin role to edit boxes

    Hey great work – this is a really neat, simple, lightweight plugin. All works fine for me apart from being able to give non-Admin users permission to edit boxes, in my case Shop Managers.

    I have used User Role Editor to give all permissions to the role – yes all boxes ticked. The title of the box however appears greyed out and the only thing possible on hover is ‘Bin’. NB. I have also tried it with menu Editor Pro. Both the same.

    PS. This is exactly the same issue as previously posted here so I know its now just me:

    Can you please share a screenshot of your settings for the user role so I can then try to replicate it and test?

    Hi Harish – here’s a screenshot of the user Role Editor settings and what is then displayed in a Shop Manager role:

    In the link to the other thread I see the edit_box and read_box in the screenshot that i shared there (without the s in the end). Can you find and add those permission to the role?

    Thanks Lap – manually added edit_box and read_box and that has solved it. Sorry I did not pick up on that from he other thread, I was expecting to see the options in the tick boxes and did not realise they had to be added manually.

    I’m glad you linked the other thread because I had forgotten as well to be honest ??
    I also didn’t know you now need to add those manually, I believe they used to show up…
