Permissions for WP All Import Pro

We have recently updated our version of WP All Import Pro on our multisite server. We have afterwards discovered, that AAM seems not to be capable to grant “install_plugins” to non-Super-Admins – but this seems to be required now by WP All Import Pro (before it only needed “manage_options”).

Interestingly enough we can give “install_plugins” to any role, but the users do not interit it from there. We are also not able to set it manually for each user (it wouldn’t remember the checkbox).

Do we miss anything here? Or does this really mean that only Super Admins can use the functionality of WP All Import Pro?
