You need a higher level of permission.

Sorry, you are not allowed to manage options for this site.

    Hello,
    ?
    Thank you for reaching out!

he message “You need a higher level of permission” indicates that your current user account doesn’t have the necessary privileges to manage options for the site. Even though you’re logged in as a super admin, there could be various reasons for this error, such as a conflict with other plugins or a misconfiguration.

To troubleshoot this, you can try the following steps:

    • Ensure that your user account is indeed a super admin by checking the “Super Admin” section in the Network Admin dashboard.
    • Temporarily deactivate other plugins to check if there’s a conflict causing the permission error.
    • Check if there are any restrictions set by other administrators or by security plugins.
    • Verify file and directory permissions on your server to ensure they’re set correctly.

If you’re still unable to resolve the issue after following these steps, you might need to seek further assistance from Hosting support.

    Kind regards

Thank you. I did deactivate all plugins and was able to get flexbox to inactive and then turn plugins back on. Not ideal as the error could pop up again at any time, but for this use case it worked. Thanks. Will check server settings next.
