    Hi Josie,
    With the statement:
The entrywizard permissions system operates on top of the normal WordPress roles and capabilities.

Does that mean the permissions set in ewz are independent of WP roles?
If I just want a UserX to be able to download images and spreadsheets, I can achieve that by selecting UserX and select the webforms and save. Correct?

    Second question:
After the completion of a competition and all images and results have been loaded to our website, is it ok/safe to delete the webform and the corresponding images from the wp-content/uploads/ewz_img_uploads/webformXXX ?
If not, how best I can do to achieve that?

First question: yes, except that, depending on what information is in the spreadsheets, you may want also to check “See User Data”. (It’s really useful to have a plugin like “User Switching” that allows you to see the site as another user would see it. )

Second question: it’s “safe” so long as you no longer need the data or images. That webform will disappear from entrywizard, but others will not be affected. Note that deleting the webform will automatically delete all the images, too.

Thanks Josie for your reply. I created test users to see how others, other then admin see the website. UserXXX is a wp subscriber. In ewz I select this user, checkoff the See User Data box, then select two layouts from Download Data From Any Web Form With Selected Layouts box. I Log in as userXXX from another browser. But I am not able to get to the wp dashboard, so userXXX cannot get to the ewz menu. If I assign userXXX as wp admin, then it defeats the purpose of limiting access. Please advise.

In the menu at the top right of any screen, select “edit profile”. That gets any user to the back end.
If they have the right permissions, they should see the entrywizard menu.

You are referring to the wp adminBar. But I use a membership plugin and hide this bar and do not allow users to access the wp profile, so not to confuse members. Is there any alternatives?

You would need to show or give the user a link to your-site/wp-admin/

Of course, that would probably show the profile, too, unless your membership plugin can stop it from displaying.

It will not work with my membership plugin as I know it. I may have to look into some user permission plugins to see if any can help with this situation. Do you have any recommendation?

Just give the user the link, and have them bookmark it. Or put it in a page on the site.

    Thanks, I’ll experiment with it.
