    We are having an issue with adding a job with a custom role. We have a custom role called Job Poster and that role has all the capabilities added, that WP Job Manager creates using a role editor plugin. Now after an update, the user with that role cannot add a new job. They can still edit and delete. Here is the troubleshooting I have done:

    • Disabled all plugins except WP Job Manager and Role editor plugin. Same issue.
    • Tried a different role editor plugin and made sure capabilities are added. Same issue.
    • Switched to the 2024 theme. Same issue.

  • We are also having this exact same issue with a custom role. Looks like this issue started/was introduced in 2.0.0.

    Same issue with capability set with Publishpress, it’s fix with the 1.42 version of this plugin

    I am having this same issue as well. The User Role Manager capabilities work as expected with all of the other Custom Post Types we’re using (e.g., “create_tribe_events” works fine), but it does not work with Job Manager (e.g., “create_job_listings” results in “Sorry, you do not have permission to access this page.” error). This problem began for us about 10 days ago.

    I don’t understand why this issue has been marked as resolved. No update for this plugin has been released, and the problem persists. Your own Changelog shows the last update occurring before this support request was opened. It looks like a course of action to fix the bug has been approved in GitHub #2689, but if the plugin has not been updated and users are still experiencing the same problem (which I am), how is this “resolved?” Please advise – thank you.

    @talk19-scott issues in the forum are marked as resolved when there isn’t more assistance we can provide here in the forums for it. Right now we have the bug reported and are working on it through Github. I hope that helps explain. Just because the forum is marked as resolved does not mean we consider the bug itself as resolved.
