    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login.

I tested the URL you shared and it works.

Are you using a CDN or a cache plugin ? Maybe, an option includes wp-login.php and wp-admin into cache actions. These pages musn’t be cached.

I have used this plugin on almost every website without an issue. I just had to pull it because it was causing a redirect back to the login page with the “You need cookies enabled” error.

WP 5.9, fresh install, only two other plugins, YoastSEO and WordFence. Deactivated WordFence and the issue persisted.

While renaming the login URL isn’t a cornerstone of my security strategy, I do appreciate that it does slow down the noob hacker wannabes. In this case, it looks like I was having the same issue as many others.

Yes, the hosting does have a cache, but it is not configurable.

On the positive side, once I deleted the plugin and cleared my cache, I was able to login normally. The downside is that I had to login via my hosting account to clear the cache. So this is a pretty silly issue that will probably irritate zillions of your plugin’s existing and new fans.

    Hello @wudman !

If you had to clear your cache, it means that your wp-login.php and maybe wp-admin pages are included in cache process. They musn’t to avoid this kind of issue.

    Hello,

I didn’t tell you to clean the cache but to exclude wp-login and wp-admin from it.

Did you look for you host cache ? Are you using a CDN where a cache is set up ?

    Hello,

    Hello,

WPS Hide Login only add a line in wp_options table. It doesn’t create any redirection.

Then, if you’re redirected to the same page, it’s because of a third-party configuration.

That’s why I asked for cache or CDN because it often happens with these kind of tools.

Maybe you’ve got a conflict with anoter plugin which makes redirects because of it uses wp-login.php slug (membership plugin, login page customizer etc…)

As I can’t reach your admin and test your login page, I ask questions and try to help as I can.

    Hello,

Don’t share your mail address here !

WPS Hide Login only add one line in wp_options : whl_page.

There’s no reason to have 3 whl_page entries in your databases. In this case, delete them all, delete the plugin and install it again.

    Hello,

Have you deleted the plugin and database entries and install the plugin again ?
