permalinks that are generated when adding a new page

  • Im actually running 3.7.4 but did not get that choice when I wrote this post.

    So when I create a new page called blog. WordPress automatically suggests the permalink https://dinsamtale.no/blogg-3/

    How can I remove the (-3) part that comes after blogg? I understand this must be because of me adding and removing this blog page- but there must be a way to overwrite the permalink?

  • A number added to the permalink usually means that you have another object with the same title, even one in the Trash. Try emptying the Trash and then editing the permalink.
