• I hope this makes sense, because I have made a lot of changes and I don’t know which one caused the problem. I was trying to make a static front page with filosofo and I was having trouble updating the file and making changes. I don’t know if I can remember everything I did, but here’s the problem:

All my permalinks (the long name kind) are gone. When I enter the page id number, I get the static home page. I would go in and manually change all my permalinks if this were not the case. I’m not too sure what to do. I have tried to change the permalink structure back and forth and nothing happens. I am so confused.

    Home:
    https://www.celebrityenglish.com/

Sample page (this looks just like the home page, but it’s not really):
    https://www.celebrityenglish.com/?page_id=27

    Sample page with long permalink:

    Thanks!

    Dana

I was playing around with some files and now the home page is index.php in the root directory. That seems to be the only way to get the front page to work. I deactivated the filosofo to see what would happen and the permalinks are still doing the same thing.

I just tried writing a new post, and it doesn’t show up (I get the host company’s 404). All my content is pages, not posts – I link to the pages in a blogroll on the front page. I don’t know if that info is helpful.

    Thanks.
