• Hi all – we have been experiencing some issues with our permalinks since launching a new website designed by a developer who was not as thorough as I would’ve like:

    1. Sometimes pages will redirect to a 404 not found page
    2. Sometimes pages will redirect to another page without logic, though the wrong page is usually related to the same section
    3. other odd permalink situations occur but these are more dominant over the other

    Here are our site specs:
    WP – 3.2.1
    Special Related Plugins: https://atastypixel.com/blog/wordpress/plugins/custom-permalinks/
Going to Dashboard –> Settings –> Permalinks and clicking ‘save changes’ without making any always fixes the issue.

The problem, though, is that the trigger for these occurrences are unknown and we can’t be sure any extenuating circumstances that surround the issue.

Anybody have similar experience and/or can provide things for me to look into?

    Thanks –

  • I have similar problem. I have a WordPress installation with BuddyPress activated with it in a subdomain of my main domain.

Problem is that, often Page redirects to a imaginary page. For instance,
    1. sub.domain.com redirects to sub.domain.com/SaVSK/.
    2.sub.domain.com/members/admin/ redirects to sub.domain.com/PULcN/VUUgV/members/admin/.

The said problem occurs in dashboard also, like,- sub.domain.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ABC.jpg redirects to sub.domain.com/ZaRYQ/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ABC.jpg.

The results on all cases is a 404 page. Please somebody help to fix the problem. Thanks.
