Permalinks Problem

The .htaccess file is in the root directory, where index.php and wp-config.php are. What’s in it right now?

Well, is your server Windows-based or Linux-based? Windows machines using IIS won’t use the .htaccess file at all.

Ellen, I emailed you.

.htaccess is a file that needs to have a period before the filename. You may not see it on your FTP program if these types of files are hidden.

Jon: the server looks like it’s running Apache, btw.
