Permalinks please help!

  • Hi allI can you please help with my Permalinks I am trying to change to pretty but when I do and you click on the individual post it does go to a new page with the pretty url except I do not get the individual post but all the posts on the home page.

    I have looked at the help on wordpress and they say delete .htaccess file or should I say the contents from the theme and re do but unfortunately this didnt work.

    Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    In particular, confirm with your host that your server has mod_rewrite on -AND- AllowOverride is on as well.

    So I now do not know what to do?

    Change to custom permalinks – use a format like pretty, but add /index.php/ at the beginning.

    Or, if you don’t want to see index.php in all your links, find a better host.
