permalinks of add on domains

hey,

Building my first website. I have directed a website domain to my own server space where i have built a wordpress site and can’t get the permalinks to read how i want.

When i enter (for example) https://www.domain-name.com i am successfully directed to the site i have made in my server space, and the address bar reads as above.

When i go to a static page within my site i.e. contact, the address bar will read https://www.my-server-space.com/domain-name/contact. Is it possible to change that to https://www.domain-name.com/contact?

I hope that is clear. Should I park the domain instead?
