Permalinks now without trailing slash
-
I noticed that the URL structure for permalinks changed a little bit recently (probably with version 2.5 or 2.6) – there used to be a trailing slash at the end, like this:
https://www.example.com/2008/07/28/blog-post-title/But now they’ve removed the trailing slash so it’s like this:
https://www.example.com/2008/07/28/blog-post-titleDoes anybody know why they changed this? Is this better for search engine ranking? Is this according to some standards?
