Permalinks not working with pagination

Hi,

I’m using WP_query to display a list of posts from a custom post type, and the Pagenavi plugin to display pagination. When I click on the second pagination item, I get redirected to the page /recepten/page2 (recepten being the name of the custom post type), but the 404 page is displayed. When I change my permalink settings back to default (it’s currently on “post name”, which works fine for all my other pages), the pagination sends me to /?page_id=8&paged=2 , which works properly.

I have no idea where to start looking to solve the issue. Could anyone give me any direction?
