Permalinks not found errors

My permalinks are causing google page not found errors.
I set up my word press permalinks using /%category%/%postname%/ on the permalinks page in ‘settings’.
My when I write a post, I set it up as a new category name (child) and place it under a main category (parent)
Google list only the URL and child name and not the main category name, thus causing the error, because Google is not listing the ‘main category’ or (Parent) name.
How do I set up permalinks so Google can crawl URL, Category, Child?
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
