permalinks no worky :(

  • i’ve messed up my permalinks and i can’t see any of my posts. pages are working fine.

    i’ve deleted and recreated the htaccess file from the permalinks admin with the proper chmod settings. i’ve shortened some really long slugs. i can see post titles and excerpts on other pages, but all my posts are still showing the “This is embarrassing…” 404.

    is there a way to delete all the defined permalinks from the database thru phpmyadmin and start over? some permalinks have numbers in them, some have the slugs.

    ultimately, i’d like to use /%category%/%postname% as my permalink.

    the site is 3col. boneflowerbotankals. com (sans spaces) if that helps.

    as i dig deeper:

    i am definitely having a similar issue, despite going through the deleting and saving twice dance a few times. i disabled all plugins and reactivated wpec first and was really sad to see that’s what’s breaking them.

    on my development site (3col) unless i have ‘default’ set as my permalink structure, either products or posts break.

    pretty permalinks were working just fine on this host (and still are on the live version of the site i’m working on). the difference i between the two is that i haven’t upgraded wp or wpec on the live server.

    mod_rewrite wouldn’t be different between the two installations, right? they’re both on the same host.
