• I just got my permalinks to work, and I’m now noticing that whenever I go read a specific post by clicking on the new link that’s made, I’ll get the black boxes for my .png pictures. This doesn’t occur on my main page though, only on post pages linking with the new permalink setup. Any links that I had with the old structure don’t have the black box. Anyone know why this happens or how I can fix it?

  • I assume by “black box” you mean that it doesn’t show the image? I had a similar problem today as I finally made the leap to customized permalink structure: my sidebar images wouldn’t display. What I had to do was edit my index.php file so that any image references were to the full URI (that is, https://blog.domain.com/images/something.png) Previously, i had used images/something.png
Maybe this is your issue, too.

well the images show. but a black box appears around it which is what happens in IE cause of png transperancy issues. I’ll try giving it a full URI though and see what happens.

ahh, I see what you mean. Sorry, sounds like this needs real advice, not my kind of almost-help. =)

How can I get my png’s to be transparent though? I’m currently using a full path name to call the png files, but I need to also be able to call the pngfix.js file too somehow.

heh i changed the call of the pngfix.js file to the full link and it worked. Thanks again everyone!
