• Hi
I tried modifying my site to use permalinks, to increase SEO visibility on my site.
However I have completely messed up the site now
When the home page, or any page loads, instead of looking for the root, its going into a category called “events”
Obviously till i figured this out, i though i could just delete the category and fix the problem

    here is my site..
    https://www.yofr.org
    keeps going straight to https://www.yofr.org/events

What permalink structure must i change it to, to fix it?
(assuming that my problem is permalinks)

    start by:

-resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting and deleting/renaming your WordPress .htaccess file.

If that works, then try reading Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure again.
