Permalinks Messed Up, Not Sure How to Fix

Okay, so I am using Yahoo! Webhosting. I attempted to update to 2.3 this afternoon, however apparently I am an idiot and something got messed up to where only the home page would load. Any time you clicked on a post or page an error would say something along the lines of “The webpage is attempting to load in a way that will be an endless loop” and would not not load.

I then tried to revert to snapshot back up files and the entire blog refused to load at all, revealing nothing but blank pages. I don’t know how but I managed to get it back where only the homepage would load again. I came across something to check the permalinks, so I switched them from the date and time settings to the default, and then magically (or so it seemed to me anyway) everything was working just fine. However, I really need to find a way to make it work with the date and time permalink settings. Can anybody help or point me in the right direction?

Sorry I got long winded about this, as you can tell I am less than a novice. I would be indebted to anyone that can help.
