permalinks lead to most recent post

  • All my permalinks lead to the most recent post.
    – I upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0
    – I followed the upgrade instructions.
    – Permalinks work fine in the default theme.
    – It’s not the custom link structure that’s doing this. The default permalinks give the same prob.

    I remember having this issue when I upgraded to 1.5.2 and downgraded back to 1.5 when I got no help.

    OK, I thought I resolved this by not using the ‘get_posts’ tag. But the problem has come back when I used a plugin to fetch latest posts. I have now removed from my sidebar links to my latest posts.

    Why do tags meant to get the most recent posts screw up the permalinks?
