• I have a weird problem with the permalinks on my website.

When they are on default all the pages of the site show up ok including the custom post-types

However, when i try to change them to ‘pretty URLs’ (simply %postname%) the pages for a particular post type won’t show. I get ‘Page Not Found’ error, while all the other pages work just fun (such as the posts and wordpress default pages).

Help would very much appreciated on this matter.

I have done so many times and still haven’t found a viable solution.

The only thing I could think of is the httpd.config file not being set up correctly I have no clue where to go and find this file or if I make one, where to place it.

Other than that, I’ve tried everything else on that page. Like I said, it works for some and not others.

It’d be really nice if I could help on this.

    Thanks

httpd.conf (not .config) is a server file, and you would PROBABLY need to ask your host about it. In fact, do that. Tell ’em that it doesn’t look like your .htaccess is being honored, and is there somethgin you need to do.
