Permalinks don’t work! Only default works…

  • As the topic says, only default works for me. When I change the permalink structure I get automatically to the WAMP map. I am building a site locally so its not online or anything. The permalinks URL is showing correctly, but the only thing thats working is the startpage.

    Tried disabling all the plugins, but its no plugin interfering. What could it be? I have a similiar wordpress installation on my localserver. And that one works well… any ideas?

    Need help!

  • you have to configure it
    open httpd.conf in notepad
    Use the search facility in the editor to find “rewrite” – The line you need looks like this:
    #LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so

    remove the hash sign

    LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
    save file

    use permalinks

    [email protected]

    I have the same problem, only mine is not on a local server but hosted. I have tried updating the .htaccess file and the CHMOD, but still can’t get my other pages to appear.

    And I can’t find the httpd.conf file.
