Permalinks doesn't work

  • Hi Polylang Author,
    I have WordPress network multi-sites, after adding polylang plugin in all sites Pretty permalinks doesn’t work. With default permalinks pages come back, but when I am choosing /%postname%/ all breaks.
    I am getting 404 error – page not found.
    What should I do solve this problem, Cause I can’t go and change every time htaccess to set rewrite, as I have many customers and if someone will register new site I should change again and again htacces.
    Is there any solution?

    Hi!

    There is no need to modify the htaccess. Indeed you need to keep it as defined by WP. I would suggest that you test first with a default theme and Polylang only, without any other plugins.

    Most often, this kind of error is due to plugins (or the theme) that don’t use correctly flush_rewrite_rules

    thanks for reply,
    I have acitvate wordpress default theme, and upload again Polylang plugin. And again got permalinks problem.

    I have tested, deactivated all plugins, and I find that this comes from Poylang. I am getting this error after activating polylang.
    Please, can you help me to solve this problem?

    I have found out this is because of set up languages.
    After setting up all languages which I need to add, or even with one language, permalinks work.

    I have another question,
    I am working with WP API, I need create post by setting language.
    Or get translation of one of posts. As here ID-s are changing, I can’t get all translations of one post. HOw can I connect one post translations.
    Please can you guide me on this
