Permalinks continually stop working

  • I’m having problems with my permalinks continually not working.

    I get a 404 page come up on, for example, my contact page, so I go to Permalinks and save them, which then fixes the issue for a day or two, but the problem reoccurs, and I have to do it again.

    Is there a way to stop this from continually happening?

    the permalink I’m using is:

    /%category%/%postname%/

    From past experience this is likely a plugin conflict do you have any plugins that are creating custom content post types?

    I hate to suggest this but try disabling plugins one at a time to try and narrow it down.

    Hi Scott, thanks for the reply.

    I do have the site set up with various custom post types, so will have to take a look at that and see if I should sort it in a different way.
