Permalinks change from page # to title

  • If I change permalinks from page numbers to page titles will I have to repost each page so they can find each other in the dark?

  • Nope. If you use the plugin Platinum SEO Pack then it should do it automatically. Basically Platinum SEO puts a 301 redirect on all pages if you change permalink structure, so this way you don’t lose any traffic.

    Do note that Default Permalinks (if that’s what you mean by page numbers) will always correctly work, regardless of the current “pretty” permalink settings.
