Permalinks change

  • I installed this a couple of weeks ago both on localhost and live site. Impressive. thank you. Sure there were a few kinks (you know, css for buttons ‘n bullets ‘n stuff) to work out but, that said, a really really useful plugin.

    My biggest issue was a total (GD Category) fail in the WP-Settings-Permalinks section – both on sites with and without WooCommerce installed. I believe the problem was caused by my change to the Custom Structure to /%category%/%postname%/.

    Without the Permalink changes made, see this image, my sites would never find (404) any Reseller Category/Product-Category posts (hosting, wordpress etc…) 404 Page Not Found…

    After changing category permalinks etc.. it all worked, instantly, as intended.

    I’m not sure EXACTLY about what minimum changes are required but at least It works and tidiness can come later.

    Anyone had similar tech. woes?

    Thanks for the feedback on the plugin. The conflict with permalinks between the Reseller Store plugin and WooCommerce does currently require some custom configuration to achieve compatibility. At this point, the best recommendation is to update your permalinks, which it sounds like you did.

    As the plugin author, I am aware of the issue and to ultimately resolve this we need to either move further away from WooCommerce or more tightly integrate with it. We are assessing the different use cases.

    We are glad you are enjoying the plugin and we’ll continue to update it and provide more features and capabilities.

    Maybe I’ll mess about a bit more with my localhost sites, find out precisely the minimum permalink changes required, and Post back.

    I’m not convinced Woo is an issue but you probably know better. (I always make my Woo base as /shop/)

    Anyways, onwards…..
