• my permalinks structure calls an index.php file first e.g.
    url/2010/index.php/contact-us/
    this is slowing the load time considerably.

    If I take the index.php out off the custom field under Permalinks the pages are not found.

    Any ideas how to get rid og the index.php being called? Can’t see it in Functions.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Not sure, but does your permalink in setting tab is cleaned up?
    Try updated it again.

    thanks.

    it works ok with default;
    pulls up page like so
    url/2010/?page_id=33
    no index.php called…?
    any other setting calls the index.php

    thanks in advance

    I’m assuming you have done the obvious and changed the structure in the Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks settings?

    If not try doing that and changing it to something like /%category%/%postname%/

    This may eliminate your problem
