permalinks by category name

  • Is there anyway I can use a %category% style permalink code so for all of my posts, they appear as /%category%/%postname%/ ?

  • The nightly versions and the CVS have that option.

    Alright, i did that with the nightlies, and it seems to work fine.. but I can’t access /wp-admin/ anymore, it thinks that it is a category also.
    anyway i can stop this ?

    Is this implemented in 1.2.1?
    I want to use this, but without mod_rewrite rules (I don’t have the option to use them). Is this possible at all?

    Is it possible to just take the relevant files (which ones?) out of CVS and stick them into a 1.2 installation? Or does that way lie madness?
