Permalinks bug.?

Hey.

So, if I make a new page called, “Desktops” for example (on my wp blog, of course), I get a permalink called “mysite.com/desktops”; but, if I delete the “Desktops” page, and then add a new page called again, “Desktops”, my permalink will be “mysite.com/desktops-2”. I tried using the edit button, but it does not work. Could you help me?
I just want to get rid of that number.
