I’m communicating the issue as I was told by a freelance web dev who has told us that he is not able to fix this issue himself.
AFAIK This is related to two problems which occurred when transferring the website to wordpress which were unexpected. The issues are as follows:

1: the SSL certification is failing and we’re not getting a status 200. We think the current issue is that since the website is in multiple languages, and users get redirected to another version of the website and this is generating a bad url. We think the root cause of the problem lies with the language plugin we’re using for the page.

2: The second problem is related to the permalinks generated via page-id.

We have had to resort to trial and error to fix the issue at this point so it’s impossible to say how long the issue is going to persist so we are looking for some advice from someone who has a better understanding of wordpress.

    Any help appreciated!

Since you’ve identified the likely cause, have you reached out to the author of the specific language plugin you’re using yet? And what was their response?

You didn’t state what the specific problem is with permalinks, so I’m not sure how we can help you without knowing what your particular problem is ??

In any case, I checked the exact URL you gave and…

    1) Immediately I saw a certificate mismatch error. This is because the SSL certificate currently serving the domain was ONLY issued for the root domain (example.com) and NOT the www subdomain (www.example.com).

A test at SSL Labs confirms this: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=www.peaktechnology.at

    2) When I bypassed the certificate mismatch security warning, I was redirected to the root domain (ie without the www). And here all I saw was a blank screen with the text “no healthy upstream”, along with an HTTP response code 503.

So it seems there’s definitely some issue with the infrastructure hosting the WordPress application Unless you’re doing some geo-blocking!)… totally unrelated to WordPress.

You may want to reach out to your host, or if you’re using a self-managed server, get your “tech person” to address these infrastructure issues first.

    Standing by.
