Permalinks – adding ".aspx" entension at the end

Hello,

I am trying to set up my WP pretty permalinks and something is not working right.

My current website is designed in DotNetNuke and all my current URLS end with a “.aspx ” IE https://www.mysite.com/page1/page2.aspx

I am now transitioning my entire website to WordPress and I need the URLS to be exactly the same as in my old site in order not to lose search engine rankings and incoming links.

I have set up a custom structure of permalinks link this

/%category%/%postname%.aspx (see image below)

The new URLS look fine now except for the final “.aspx ” that is not showing.

Does anyone know why the final “.aspx ” is not showing? How can I fix this?
