    Hello,

I wanted to use this plugin for the way it creates a custom post type, but I intend in the future to try and have my site contain podcast content as well as blog content.

I want to change the permalink structure that your plugin creates, but not sure how.

For example, my test podcast episode is placed on https://staging2.adamk47.sg-host.com/podcast/zombieland-2/

But I want to remove that /podcast/ section from the URL and have my episode just be at MYDOMAIN.COM/episodes/EPISODE-NAME

    Can you please help??

    Hi @ajkoehl86

So, we do have the following support article for modifying the Podcast archive URL.

    https://support.castos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360018867240-Modifying-podcast-URLs

With the above changes, you’ll be able to change the archive URL from /podcast/ to /episodes/ and this would make your episodes be domain.com/episodes/episode-name. Be sure to re-save your permalinks after adding the function.

Keep in mind that this does fall into customizations and we recommend only moving forward if you are comfortable with these kinds of edits. (And take a backup of your site, first).

    Thanks!

    This worked!!

Any chance you would be able to provide help on one last question?

Now that I have control over that for PODCAST post types, how do I go about making my slugs for BLOG post types? I can see I must need another similar solution to make future blog posts within a slug of “domain.com/blog/blog-post-title”.

Apologies if that question it meant for a different forum… my first time here!

    Hi @ajkoehl86,

Unfortunately this is something I wouldn’t be able to assist you with on this forum as it falls outside of our plugin’s realm of support.
