• Is there a way to allow the /%category%/%postname%/ permalink structure work with posts that don’t end up in a particular category? ie, if they are uncategorized, my links end up as https://www.myblog.com//postname (I get the double slash since the category is not specified)

Is this supposed to happen? I am using smart_rss and often some of my feeds don’t end up in a defined category, so those posts won’t open! Please pardon my ignorance if this is a simple thing and this is a stupid question!

  • Make sure to set one category as default in your manage categories screen. Then if you don’t select a category at least one will be assigned.

    Hey jeremy

Thanx for the reply. However the defailt category was set – but strangely enough, posts weren’t going into that category I specified. I’m wondering if Smart_rss isn’t working anymore although the plugin says it will work.
