    Hello there,

I’m setting up a store with WooCommerce and I’m trying to set a custom permalink structure but nothing seems to be working!

What I’d like to achieve is this:

    URL/negozio/the actual product category name/product

(negozio is shop in Italian). The main problem happens when I try to access any category page of a product.

If I go to URL/negozio/the actual product category name it tells me that the page doesn’t exist.

If I click to the category name from a product page, it directs me to URL/product-category/the actual product category name and everything works.

    How can I fix this?

When I add new products the URL is URL/negozio/the actual product category name/product-name so I don’t know why URL/negozio/the actual product category name it doesn’t work!

(biglietti-artigianali is just a product-category, I don’t want it to be the main one for every product)

Hi there. Here’s an article that you should read first.

If you still want to do this here’s a post that might help.

    Hi @serafinnyc

Thanks for this info. So products are not treated the same way as posts where you place them uder a specific category and then you can go to URL/category to see all the posts related to that category?

You still need the product-category attribute in the URL to make everything work properly?

Exactly. Post structure above is strictly for regular post types and pages

Products are considered “custom post types”.

Yes and No. What you want done will take some coding. For my wife’s site I changed product-category to “collections”. I didn’t like the title product-category.
