Permalink settings other than default shows webpage unavailable.

  • I have dug deep in Google to find anything that can help my permalink problems. So all permalink settings other than default hits me back with a 404 error. Nothing I do works. I cannot see anything pass the landing page. https://chateaumaryfrancewine.com/ Can someone please help.

  • Just be sure, after you changed permalinks you clean all cache – plugin, browser, even if your hosting use some kind of cache.
    Also check if .htaccess is there

    Hi Peter, thanks for your response.

    I have done everything you told me. Still doesn’t work.

    Also, I don’t understand why I see a /blog/ in my permalinks settings (other than defaullt) when I downloaded WordPress straight into /var/www/html. I can’t even access chateaumaryfrancewine.com/blog which is frustrating. I thought you should know that I installed multisite. Is that because of the it? If yes, I don’t see a blog (or any for the multisite) sub directory in root. Please help.
