My website has only one page that contains an online app that I am sharing. I am not planning on using blogs or posts. Under the permalink setting, I am thinking of choosing the ‘Custom Structure’ and not selecting any tags so that my permalink structure would just be my plain URL: https://myurl.com. Is this approach SEO friendly? I am thinking this would make my permalink structure minimal and therefore, optimize my ranking.

Are you using any SEO plugin? If so, recommend asking at that plugin’s dedicated support.

Why would you need to do anything with permalinks for a one page site? Your home page will always be yoursite.com and that is unaffected by any permalink settings. As for SEO, it’s a one page site, that’s all that can be indexed.

My question came from reading the article that is referenced in the Setting > Permalinks section of WP. I now understand that those directives apply to the SEO of websites with multiple pages/posts and that the option I choose on the permalink settings won’t affect my site SEO given the fact that my site is a single page site. Thanks all for your input.
