• Good morning,

I have been using Worpress for several years with Elementor.
Since the latest version of WordPress 6.4.1 my links no longer work.

The links in the menu work very well, it is identified with the page number for example if we click on Association here is the link which is used https://wp.leclubalouette.com/?page_id=5659. I think this link is managed by the Ocean WP template.

On the other hand, the other links that are created with Elementor I receive the 404 error which cannot find the page. If I click on Activity and then on Outdoor Activity the error 404 appears, the address is then https://wp.leclubalouette.com/Sports which is the name of the page and not the number.

I tried all configurations in Permalink Plain , Postname and still the 404 error…..

    THANKS

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi, @rpoulin80 — typically a site is configured to use page IDs OR friendly permalink names, so it seems a little unusual to me that both are being used.

I checked the Wayback Machine for this site, and it appears it previously used postname permalinks (e.g. https://wp.leclubalouette.com/association/), not the “plain” numeric permalinks (https://wp.leclubalouette.com/?page_id=5659). Is it possible this setting was changed recently?

Would you mind checking your /wp-admin/options-permalink.php page to see what permalink structure your site is configured with?

I also noticed on the site’s homepage that The Weather Network plugin is not functioning, causing a fatal error to occur and appear in the footer (Uncaught Error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array...). The plugin depends on a web service URL referenced here that appears to be offline. You might consider disabling that plugin and following up with the developer for a fix.
