Permalink setting breaks events manager

Just found a bug in the current build:
I installed & configured the plugin and added some events. Then I had to discover that I was getting an 404 error / not found page for every event I had set up, no matter whether I clicked on a link in an event list or if I clicked on “view event” in the event editor window.
Turns out the problem was that I had edited the permalink settings and set BOTH the events as well as the event categories root to the SAME url (/events)
My rationale was that it would be much nicer to get a link structure like
mywebsite.com/events/concerts/…
rather than
mywebsite.com/events/categories/concerts/…
But apparently, this breaks the install.So my suggestion would be to
-either enable the ability to have categories/locations archives directly underneath the events slug (my preferred solution)
-OR add a verification check that warns users when they set a permalink structure that will break their site.
