Permalink Rewrite?

In the menu editor of wordpress I want to be able to add an individual custom post type. I currently have this, but what I want it to do is change that permalink probably through some rewrite of the permalink for the custom post type to a php function that grabs the file url stored in the meta data of that post type.

So that instead of getting single-custom-posttype.php it downloads the file.
